More news! First of all, my two poems went up at Black Heart Magazine early November. You can find them here.
Secondly, I recently had a piece accepted by Cartridge Lit. They publish really great video game inspired lit, a lot of which ends up being slightly experimental or explores something new about gaming. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have my heart set on getting into this publication when I sent this piece out, but it'd been such a long wait I was pretty sure it was either chucked in the internet garbage can or hadn't even been received.
This particular story is a bit of an experimental piece playing with the themes of RPG games which make up a good chunk of my late childhood. I also had a some Majora's Mask and Jak II inspired work but seeing as at the time they'd just published two Majora's Mask poems, I felt a third would have been bad timing, and the other piece wasn't nearly ready to be sent out.
I think that's about it for the rest of 2014. Haven't had much opportunity to sit down and devote some time to short fiction. After the Pause's inaugural issue comes out December and my Cartridge Lit piece is due for early to mid-December so the year's going to end on a good note.
Oh, also, these are some of my favourite pieces from Cartridge Lit (I highly recommend you read them):
