This post is annoyingly late and after the new year, but it couldn't be helped- the Christmas & New Years season is the busiest of the year. I'm just glad I found some time to make this post in the first place. Here's a brief run-down of my year.
2014 in Review Submission Stats:
Other Highlights:
I think theNewerYork does great things with experimental lit and I'm very proud to be a part of their publication. I'm also thankful to The Molotov Cocktail for accepting a piece that came from a very strange place but helped me out of my writing hiatus and got me back into writing and submitting. Honestly, there's not a lot that I'm not thankful for when it comes to writing in 2014.
2012 Goals So I'm not normally a goals/resolutions type of person because I make a lot of goals as I go, they're all short term and flexible and always open to adjustment and change. I think I function on a shorter time scale. One day at a time, one week at a time. I achieve more when I am not overwhelmed. Anyways, I made a few writing related goals for next year. Most are improvised and copied from a discussion forum, so none of them are concrete, strict goals.
Yeah, so the last one is pretty challenging. I have a lot of research, prep, and reading to do to finish with something I like and can be proud of. We'll see how it goes. A year is a long time. As long as I read more, write more, and submit more I'd be happy. Everything else follows.
