Very exciting and belated news! A short story of mine was recently accepted for Tiny Owl Workshop's world building project called The Lane of Unusual Traders. Given just a map and a short prologue about the world and its capital city, writers were asked to write a flash fiction or a short story about a shop that existed in the city of Lind in an area called the Lane of Unusual Traders.
One of the most exciting acceptances I've gotten, especially since I found out immediately after a dream about being rejected for this particular project. Tiny Owl also ran a project earlier this year called the Unfettered Folio where writers were asked to write a short story based on art pieces illustrated by Terry Whidborne. At the time, I really would have loved to have sent something in, but it was right around exam time and I couldn't get anything done before the deadline. That's why this August I put a lot of my free time and focus into finishing a piece for this project, and apparently, it paid off. I'm chuffed and flabbergasted and also very excited to be a part of such an awesome project. There's already a wiki for Midlfell and I can't wait to see what else comes from this world and its contributors. The full list of fellow short story contributors can be found here. More on the Lane to come in 2015. Update: Midlfell Wine and Spirits is located on Lot 16! Full list here.
